Jesse Frederick-Conaway, Everett T. Conaway’s son, joined the SOFR System project in 2003, shortly after retiring from a successful and celebrated career in the music industry in Los Angeles, California, and relocating to the DelMarVa Peninsula.
As a film & television composer Jesse cofounded Stiletto Music, Inc., which operated from an exclusive recording studio in Burbank, California. As President of Stiletto Music, with his partner, Jesse wrote, produced and performed the music and theme songs for many successful and popular television programs over a long and fruitful career.
When Jesse and his family relocated to Delaware, Conny seized the opportunity to ask Jesse to reunite with him in this new venture. Jesse was not new to the poultry industry, however. Throughout his teenage and early adult years, Jesse learned the poultry processing industry as a plant laborer from the inside out, working in a variety of jobs in several plants on the Eastern Shore. Having studied mechanical drafting as a teenager, Jesse also worked as an apprentice under Conny in plant overhead conveyor layout design. Even when living and working in Los Angeles, as a private pilot during the mid-1980’s, Jesse flew his father to northern California poultry plants during visits to Los Angeles. Conny said of his son’s leadership in CDI, " ... I knew that Jesse had just the right combination of international contract experience coupled with highly honed skills in technology, communication and business to head up Conaway Development and the SOFR System Project..."
As President of Conaway Development Industry, Inc., Jesse reflects Conny’s commitment to truth, quality and innovation and his own commitment to safer and cleaner food processing for consumers.
Jesse has been celebrated and interviewed in national publications including Rolling Stone Magazine, Billboard, Cashbox, the Associated Press and the Los Angeles Times. He has won many prestigious awards including the American Society Of Composers Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) awards for: Top Five Television Shows; Most Performed Theme Songs; Most Performed Underscore. He has been recognized by the Nielsen Ratings System as one of the Top 15 contemporary composers. Jesse recently served a five year term on the Board Of Trustees for The Salisbury School, and supports many charities including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
