The SOFR System has additional time and cost saving advantages.

The SOFR System is easier to install, maintain and replace than traditional rubber fingers. The SOFR ST (single tuft) units are installed from the FRONT of the disks, using an air driven installtion tool. The SOFR ST units are able to be removed, again from the front of the disks, with a simple removal tool. Because the SOFR System outlasts its rubber finger counterparts, there is much less time-consuming labor involved in the maintenance of the SOFR System. Bulk installation tools are available for off-machine installations.

The SOFR System is designed for industry compatibility.

The SOFR System is designed, tested and proven to work on most manufacturers’ picking machines including LINCO; Meyn; Stork; Cantrell and their derivatives.

New Commercial Tooling Phase Complete!

New "True Blue" SOFR Units and Proprietary Disks.

The SOFR System is now supplied with approved proprietary disks. The SOFR disks are available in prescription configurations of 6 holes; 10 holes and 12 holes depending on machine manufacturer and application, and install on standard shafts without machine modification. The new "True Blue" commercial versions of the SOFR Tufts will not work with standard disks.

This new development is in response to our clients needs, in a effort to further enhance quality control, and to help ensure a guaranteed smooth and trouble-free transition to the SOFR System.

What is the SOFR System?

The SOFR System, developed by Conaway Development Industries, Inc., in association with Dupont Company, was developed in response to the poultry industry’s need to defeather poultry more efficiently and less aggressively, while at the same time eliminating the harmful byproducts left behind by traditional rubber picking fingers.
